Tata Steel Wins Approval For Mill Expansion
09/16/2015 - India's Environment Ministry has signed off on a Tata Steel project that will more than double the capacity of its Jamshedpur works' cold rolling mill, according to The Hindu Business Line newspaper.
The newspaper reported that Tata intends to increase the mill's capacity from 300,000 metric tons to 800,000 metric tons annually. The expansion will add pickled and oiled coil lines and skinpassed pickled and oiled coil lines.
Tata is investing INR126 crore in the project.
