Tata Steel Records First-Quarter Loss
09/12/2016 - Tata Steel lost US$475 million in the first quarter of its fiscal year, weighed down by a steep loss on its discontinued European long products business, which it sold earlier this year, the (London) Financial Times.
For the quarter ended 30 June 2016, the Indian steelmaker recorded a loss of 32.9 billion rupees on the business, which it sold to private investment firm Greybull Capital this spring. The sale was finalized during the quarter.
