Tata Steel Completes Sale of Teesside Cast Products
03/25/2011 - Tata Steel has completed its sale of Teesside Cast Products to Sahaviriya Steel Industries UK Ltd and Redcar Bulk Terminal Ltd.
Tata Steel has completed its sale of Teesside Cast Products (TCP) to Sahaviriya Steel Industries UK Ltd and Redcar Bulk Terminal Ltd. Transfer of ownership took place on Thursday, March 24.
A formal handover ceremony will take place on Friday March 25 at Teesside Cast Products. The ceremony will be attended by members of the Teesside community, local MPs and councilors, the media and other key stakeholders. Employees of the three companies that will continue to operate on the site — Tata Steel, SSI and the Tata Steel/SSI joint venture, Redcar Bulk Terminal Ltd — will also attend, and senior executives from Tata Steel and SSI will address the event.
In announcing completion of the sale, Tata Steel extended best wishes for the future to its new neighbors, Sahaviriya Steel Industries UK and Redcar Bulk Terminal, and all of their employees.
