Tata's Change in Leadership Throws European Steel Merger Into Question
10/25/2016 - Cyrus Mistry’s ouster as chairman of Tata Sons Ltd. might disrupt the conglomerate’s effort to merge its U.K. strip business with thyssenkrupp’s European steel operations, according to the Bloomberg news service.
Citing analysts, the news service said Mistry is believed to have been the one driving the sales of its European assets. With Mistry no longer in the chairman’s seat, there are now doubts as to whether the organization will pursue that strategy, Bloomberg said.
