Tata Executive Takes New Role with Cement Producer
02/19/2019 - Bimlendra Jha, who has overseen Tata Steel’s operations in the U.K. for the last three years, is leaving the company, and the steel industry, for a new position with one of India’s leading cement manufacturers.
In a statement, Ambuja Cement said Jha will return to India to take over as managing director and chief executive, effective 1 March.
“India is one of the fastest-growing large economies in the world. From individual house builders to large infrastructure projects, the construction and cement industries are at the heart of this growth. Ambuja Cement is a strong retail brand, and I am extremely excited to be back in India to follow my passion through this brand,” Jha said.
