Tata, thyssenkrupp Leaders to Meet on Potential Steel Merger
07/05/2017 - thyssenkrupp chief executive Heinrich Hiesinger plans to meet with Tata Sons chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran this month to see if the two companies can put together a deal on merging their European steel operations, according to the German business newspaper Handelsblatt.
Despite several obstacles that remain, the chances are good that the executives will be able to bring a deal into fruition, representatives of both companies told the newspaper.
