Talley Metals is increasing prices for all grades of stainless steel round bars, hexagons and squares by approximately 10%, effective with new orders and shipments as of October 1st.

Talley Metals said that the increase is in response to higher demand for its products, as well as increases in manufacturing, energy and other costs.

Additionally, Talley said all applicable surcharges would remain in effect.

Talley Metals, a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corp., sells 300 and 400-series stainless steel bars, as well as standard precipitation-hardening grades, to U.S. metals distributors. Carpenter Technology, based in Wyomissing, Pa., is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty alloys and various engineered products.
