Swiss Steelmaker Makes Prevailing Offer for Troubled French Company
01/29/2018 - A Swiss specialty long steel manufacturer has been named the preferred bidder for France’s Ascometal, according to the Reuters news service.
Schmolz + Bickenbach in December disclosed that it had put down an offer of EUR135 million for the ailing steelmaker. The offer included a capital commitment of EUR64 million to Ascometal’s plants over the next four years.
