Survey: Metals Executives Have High Expectations for Growth in 2021
03/17/2021 - North American Metals sector leaders are anticipating a significant jump in revenue this year, but are wary of the potential for inflation in the coming years, according to a survey of C-suite executives.
According to the survey conducted by corporate finance and strategic advisory firm Headwall Partners, 55% of board chairmen and chairwomen, chief executives and chief financial officers are looking for revenues to grow by at least 9% this year.
Also, 82% of respondents expect U.S. inflation to be greater than 2% in the next three to five years.
“This year’s outlook survey draws some very interesting conclusions from senior sector executives, including an expectation for the return of inflation and higher taxes, a near-term correction in steel and aluminum prices, and the potential near-term elimination of the Section 232 import protections,” said Headwall Partners founder and managing partner Peter J. Scott.
