Sullivan Steel Given Exclusive Distribution Rights to Three Specialty Stainless Grades
07/15/2016 - New Jersey-based Sullivan Steel, a niche stainless distributor serving the bearings industry, has signed an agreement to be the exclusive North American distributor for three premium steels made by France’s Aubert & Duval, the company has announced.
Under the agreement, Sullivan will distribute Aubert & Duval’s martensitic stainless grades XD15NW and XD16N as well as its carburizing stainless grade CX13VDW.
According to Sullivan, the three grades primarily are used in critical bearing and ball screw applications, as well as in the paper and food processing industries.
Sullivan said the agreement formalizes a relationship that began in 2011.
“Sullivan Steel is the ideal partner for us in expanding these products in the North American bearing market,” said Didier Laveze, director of Aubert & Duval’s aerospace long products unit.
“Sullivan is a longstanding and well-respected partner to the bearing industry. They have been a key catalyst for us in broadening our reach and solidifying our supply chain to North America, and we are delighted to formalize an exclusive relationship through this agreement,” he said.
