Strike Ends at ArcelorMittal Steel Works
03/15/2016 - ArcelorMittal has reached an agreement with striking workers at its Lazaro Cardenas steel works in Mexico, according to reports.
Workers had walked off the job earlier this month, saying the company violated their collective bargaining agreement.
As part of the agreement ending the strike, the steelmaker has promised to find new positions for 125 workers following the recent closure of a coke plant and pay severance to 81 others, according to reports.
The strike had halted production at the facility, but operations were to have resumed on 14 March.
