Stelco-McMaster Announces Appointments

Jan. 7, 2004 — Mr. Marcel Francoeur, President and CEO of Stelco-McMaster Ltée, announced the following appointments that took effect on January 1, 2004.

Mr. Jean Ménard, formerly Vice President—Sales and Marketing, has been appointed Vice President—Sales, Marketing and Transportation.

Mr. Geoff Inniss, formerly Sales Manager, is now General Manager—North American and International Sales. He will continue to report to Mr. Jean Ménard.

"These appointments reflect Stelco-McMaster's determination to pursue its expansion," said Marcel Francoeur. "Their solid experience within the company, combined with their knowledge of the steel industry, proves to be important strategic assets in achieving our growth objectives."


Stelco-McMaster Ltée is a private and independent company whose shares are owned by Stelco Inc. It is a modern mini-mill located in Contrecoeur, Que., where it employs more than 400 qualified people. Stelco-McMaster supplies over 600,000 tons of quality bars and billets for the automotive, construction, service centre and railway industries, with over 60% of its production sold outside Canada. An important recycler, Stelco-McMaster is also involved in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal recuperation and processing through Fers et Métaux Recyclés Ltée of Laprairie, Que., and Cyclomet of Scoudouc, New Brunswick.
