Stelco Inc.’s Court-appointed Monitor has filed its thirty-ninth report regarding the company's Court-supervised restructuring.
The Report provides updated information regarding the meetings of affected creditors of Stelco and a number of its subsidiaries that were held on November 15, 2005. The report includes the attendance records for the meetings. The Report also notes that the meetings were adjourned until November 21, 2005.
The Monitor notes that if a plan is accepted by the affected creditors on November 21, 2005, a motion to sanction the plan will be heard in early December, 2005. If a plan is not accepted on November 21, 2005, the Court will hear motions for alternative processes or proceedings on November 25, 2005.
Stelco is a large, diversified steel producer involved in major segments of the steel industry through its integrated steel business, minimills, and manufactured products businesses.
