Steelmakers Coming Around to Hedging, LME Executive Says
08/21/2017 - Despite some early skepticism, steel mills might be starting to warm to the idea of steel futures and have been testing out London Metal Exchange contracts, according to Reuters news service.
"There has been a fundamental shift in the attitude of steel mills," Alberto Xodo, deputy head of LME ferrous, said during the Reuters Global Base Metals Forum.
"In recent months our client base has expanded to include even the more conservative participants of the value chain, like the steel mills."
