Called Primetals Tangshan Technology Services Ltd. (PTTS), the joint venture will offer, among other services, off-line maintenance, equipment refurbishment and condition monitoring not only to Tangshan, but to other customers.

"The establishment of PTTS is a key element for Tangsteel to implement lifecycle management and improve the reliability of the equipment," said HBIS Tangsteel chairman Wang Lanyu in a statement. 

"With the extensive cooperation between Tangsteel and Primetals Technologies, the quality of the products produced by Tangsteel will set a new benchmark in the steel industry."
