Steel Technologies Names New Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
04/09/2009 - Steel Technologies names Joseph M. Kamer as its new Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
Steel Technologies Inc. has named Joseph M. Kamer as its new Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
"Joe brings a vast amount of skill and knowledge to our legal department, having worked in the areas of general corporate governance — both domestically and internationally, mergers and acquisitions, finance and litigation management,” said Steel Technologies CEO Bradford T. Ray. “He also is a Certified Public Accountant. We are excited about the opportunity to work with him as a member of our senior management team at Steel Technologies.”
Kamer, who will join the company on April 13, was previously employed with Lexmark International, Inc., where he worked for the past ten years, most recently as Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. He began his law career with Hunton & Williams L.L.P. in Richmond, Va., and then spent six years with two Cleveland law firms: Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. and Thompson Hine L.L.P.
Kamer earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.
