Steel Rolling Holdings Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification
04/01/2014 - Steel Rolling Holdings Inc. (SRH), a steel processing center specializing in cold rolling, annealing and tempering steel coils, announced that it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.
ISO 9001:2008 is recognized by organizations worldwide as a quality management standard. The certification indicates that an organization conforms to a quality management system, which can consistently provide a product or service that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. TÜV SÜD America, a global testing, certification, inspection and training provider accredited by ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), authorized SRH’s certification.
“This certification is just one milestone along our journey of continuous improvements that solidifies our status as an efficient, reliable, and strategic partner for our customers,” said Steve Swan, general manager at Steel Rolling Holdings. “The formal third party recognition, in the form of ISO 9001:2008 certification, demonstrates our unwavering commitment to quality and our customers, and helps advance our status as a world class processor of flat rolled steel.”
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Gibraltar, Mich., Steel Rolling Holdings is a steel processing center specializing in cold rolling, annealing and tempering steel coils. By leveraging its skilled workforce and technically advanced equipment, the company uses its 650,000 square foot facility to quickly process highly specialized orders that meet its clients’ exact specifications. SRH’s four-stand tandem mill can convert hot-roll to cold-roll at speeds of 3,000 feet per minute and reduce coils down to 0.015 gauge, allowing the company to meet a wide variety of manufacturing demands. Its products are used in the automotive, construction and agricultural industries, among others. SRH’s flexibility allows it to save customers money and reduce inventory by offering faster processing than other steel mills, at a competitive price. SRH has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.
