Steel Not on the G-20 Agenda for China
08/30/2016 - China is keen on discussing its financial reforms during the upcoming Group of 20 summit – and less so on talking about the world’s excess steelmaking capacity, reports The Nikkei Asian Review.
According to the publication, the country apparently intends to steer clear of sensitive political matters during the summit. In fact, Li Baodong, China’s vice minister for foreign affairs, said the participating nations have a “shared understanding” that the summit’s discussions should focus on economic matters and should avoid distracting issues, the publication reported.
