Stainless Producer Contracts Fives for New Processing Line
12/28/2016 - The Fives industrial engineering firm has won a contract to install a new stainless processing line at China’s Chengde Stainless Steel Co.
According to Fives, the cold annealing and pickling line will be capable of processing 500,000 metric tons annually. It is being designed to handle 200, 300 and 400 series stainless and is to come on-line sometime before the end of 2017.
Fives will design and supply an annealing furnace and an in-line skinpass mill and will oversee installation. The equipment will be manufactured by a Fives’ subsidiary in Shanghai.
