Spooled Coil Production Begins at SDI Plant
12/02/2019 - A new billet welder and bar spooling line have entered service at Steel Dynamics Inc.’s Columbia City, Ind., USA, mill and are producing spooled coils of up to 5 tons in endless mode.
According to a statement from Danieli, which supplied the equipment, the project was completed 17 seventeen months after the contract award date and was carried out in close collaboration with the steelmaker.
“The expansion project was a resounding success, with no major delays during the project execution and startup of operation,” Danieli said.
