According to Sarralle, the system will feed newly cast billets into the reheat furnace at the Megasider Zaragoza merchant bar facility. 

Sarralle said the system allows billets to either be sent to the reheat furnace loading table or to the current cold exit to the train-side cooler. 

“With this new charging system Megasider Zaragoza reduces the consumption in the rolling mill reheating furnace, also reducing emissions to the atmosphere, while improving the energy efficiency of its production process,” Sarralle said.
