South Korean Pipe Maker Establishes U.S. Manufacturing Presence
12/01/2016 - Looking to ensure access to the U.S. market, South Korea’s SeAH Steel has acquired two U.S. OCTG mills in Houston, Texas, reports The Korea Times.
According to The Times, the mills were acquired from OMK Tube and Laguna Tubular Products Corp. mills for undisclosed amounts. SeAH chief executive Howard Lee said that having manufacturing capacity in the U.S. will allow the company to “more effectively deal with rising protectionism.”
