SMS group to Supply 5,000-Ton Press to European Parts Maker
01/21/2019 - SMS group has won an order for a 5,000-ton closed-die forging press from components manufacturer Musashi Europe.
In a statement, SMS said the MT 5000 eccentric press will be installed at the company’s facility in Bockenau, Germany. It will allow Musashi Europe to produce large, rotationally symmetric forgings for passenger cars and truck applications, the company said.
Commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
