SMS group said in a statement that the twin-stand reversing cold mill capable will be designed to produce 500,000 metric tons annually. 

"The CCM will come with four-high stands and proven CVC plus roll shifting technology. In combination with positive and negative work roll bending and one X-Shape flatness measurement roll on the entry and one on the exit side, Aisha Steel will be able to produce the required strip qualities in widths ranging from 650 mm to 1,250 mm and minimum final gages down to 0.15 mm," the company said. 

In addition to the equipment, SMS will supply the electrical systems, the level 1 and level 2 automation systems, and ancillary facilities, including an emulsion plant and emissions controls. 

This mill is to be completed by early 2019.
