SMS group to Acquire 50% Stake in Industrial Services Provider
12/13/2021 - SMS group announced last week it has entered into an agreement, together with Sweden-based investor Altor Fund V, to acquire a 50% stake in global industrial services company KAEFER.
According to SMS group, the owner family of KAEFER will continue to hold the remaining 50% share of the business.
Bremen, Germany-based KAEFER is a provider of industrial services for industrial, marine and offshore, and materials and construction markets.
SMS group said it intends to broaden its portfolio with this investment. In addition, both companies will explore opportunities to work together on decarbonization, digitalization and energy projects.
