According to SMS group, the new drawing line will expand the producer’s production range and capacity. Once installed, the company will be able to process round bars between 19 mm and 42 mm.   In addition, it will be able to make hexagons, squares and other sections, SMS group said.  

The line will have a maximum drawing force of 250 kN, a maximum speed of 80 m/min and a bar length of 2.5 m to 6.5 m.

The order includes a bar coil preparation unit with double coiler, a two-carriage drawing machine, a two-roll straightener, a chamfering machine and the entire electrical and automation system. Commissioning is scheduled for next summer.
