SKF Inaugurates Wind Industry Service Center in Shanghai

The SKF Asia Pacific wind industry service center was inaugurated at the SKF Solution Factory in Shanghai on April 14, 2010. This is the third one of its kind, according to SKF, following the centers in Hamburg and Houston.
 
SKF has been focusing on applying reliable maintenance technology to wind turbines for many years. The company says that it has extensive knowledge and experience in providing remote condition monitoring service, asset management service, and spare parts management service to wind farm customers throughout Europe and the U.S.
 
The center has been established to meet the market demand for maintenance technology in the wind industry and to provide one-stop solutions in the growing market of wind farm operation and maintenance in Asia Pacific, particularly in China.
 
“The establishment of the wind industry service center in Shanghai demonstrates SKF's strong commitment to provide extensive technical support and services to the wind industry and the wind farm operation and maintenance market in Asia Pacific,” said Vartan Vartanian, President SKF Service Division.
