Shandong Province-based Hengji Steel Co. announced it has commissioned its new coating facilities which have an annual production capacity of 500,000 tonnes, including 300,000 tonnes of hot dip galvanized and 200,000 tonnes of pre-painted galvanized iron.

Construction of the facilities started in February 2011 with a total investment of around RMB 2.6 billion (US$412 million). With the new facilities, Hengji Steel will have an annual production capacity of 3 million tonnes and annual sales revenue of RMB 20 billion (US$3.14 billion).
