Severstal North America Debuts New Culvert Mobile App

Severstal North America introduced its new Culvert mobile application, which the company describes as an easy-to-use tool designed to help corrugated steel pipe (CSP) professionals work faster and smarter. It is available for Apple iOS and Android devices.

Developed in conjunction with the National Corrugated Steel Pipe Association (NCSPA), CSP engineers and designers can use the Culvert mobile app for important tasks such as estimating material service life for given environmental ranges, deter-mining pipe storage capacity, and identifying minimum cover required for heavy off-road construction equipment.

“Severstal’s Culvert mobile app is a great example of how a company that is committed to our industry can help us use technology to make it easier to specify corrugated steel pipe,” said Michael McGough, Chief Engineer of NCSPA. “Powered by NCSPA data, the app can really save culvert users time and help them make better decisions.”

The launch of Severstal’s Culvert mobile application coincides with the 2012 NCSPA Annual Meeting in Bonita Springs, Fla. The app is available free on the iTunes App Store (iPhone and iPad) and Google Play (Android).
