Severstal North America Appoints Director of Scrap and Metallics Procurement
12/23/2013 - Severstal North America has appointed Sanjeev Badola, director, scrap and metallics procurement, based in Dearborn, Mich., effective 1 January 2014.
In his new position, Badola will direct the company’s strategy of procuring metallics and scrap metal and report to Gerrit Reepmeyer, vice president, procurement.

Prior to joining Severstal, Badola served as the worldwide trading manager, raw materials, for Starglobe, handling a US$400 million portfolio of pig iron, HBI and iron ore trades. Before that, he worked with Carbofer and built the pig iron trading business to be among the top three in the world. Badola started his career with Cargill where he held several positions in worldwide trading responsibilities.
Badola received his MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management at Thunderbird with an emphasis on International Trade and Finance. He also holds certifications in import and export management and ocean shipping and inland transportation.
