Severstal NA to Increase Flat Rolled Prices
11/10/2010 - Severstal NA announced plans to increase prices immediately by a minimum of $40 per ton for all hot rolled, cold rolled, and galvanized products. The company also is planning to revise pricing for all new orders promised for January 1, 2011 and later.
Severstal NA announced this week that it will increase prices by a minimum of $40 per ton for all hot rolled, cold rolled, and galvanized products promised for shipment through December 31, 2010. The company also is planning to revise pricing for all new orders promised for January 1, 2011 and later.
As detailed in the announcement, the following increases will take effect immediately for all new orders:
· Hot Rolled Bands — $29.00/cwt
· Cold Rolled — $34.00/cwt
· Hot Dipped Galvanized — $34.00/cwt
· Galvalume — $34.00/cwt
· EG — $37.00/cwt
In an effort to partially recover continued raw material cost increases in the face of improving steel demand, the company said it also will revise its pricing effective with all new orders promised January 1, 2011 and later. The company noted that it is also critical the full amount of its current extras be fulfilled as published and available on its website.
The company noted that all pricing is subject to review and could change prior to order acceptance.
