Severstal NA, UAW Reach Tentative Agreement on New Labor Agreement

Severstal North America and United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 600 have reached a tentative agreement on a new five-year labor pact.
 
The new agreement covers about 1,100 active hourly production and maintenance employees at the company’s Dearborn facility.
 
“We are pleased to have reached a new five-year labor agreement which serves the needs of our people and provides a solid base for company’s future development,” said Sergei Kuznetsov, Chief Executive Officer. “The new agreement is an important milestone in our relationship with the UAW that was forged over the years and that helps us work toward common goals of our company and our employees.”
 
The company expects ratification of the agreement to be completed shortly.
