Severstal Launches Campaign for Unified Approach to Marketplace

Severstal North America has launched a new initiative, ONE Severstal, designed to promote a unified approach by all of its U.S. facilities to the North American marketplace. The campaign supports the recent alignment along geographic markets of Severstal North America’s commercial staff, where each commercial team member supports the full range of products available in his or her region.
 
“Over the past few months, we have created an organizational structure that simplifies the sales and customer service process by establishing one point of contact for each customer. Fewer points of contact result in a higher degree of customer service and faster decision-making,” said Tom Marchak, Vice President Commercial, Severstal North America.
 
“ONE Severstal provides a single source for all steel needs by rolling efficiency, convenience, and capability,” he continued. “We may be composed of five plants, but we are thinking and acting as one organization. In addition, ONE Severstal supports OAO Severstal’s efforts to further advance the theme of Achieve More Together.”
 
The Severstal North America website now features a ONE Severstal “flash message” as the introductory page. Visitors to the Severstal Columbus website are automatically redirected to the Severstal North America site. The Severstal Columbus content can be accessed through the “about us” tab.
 
According to Marchak, an enhanced Severstal North America website will launch in the first half of 2010, complete with customer functionality and interactive commercial tools for all customers at all locations.
 
“The unification of our websites into www.severstalna.com along with our efforts to create a unified commercial organization will provide our customers with more comprehensive and faster service from all of our plants,” he said.
