Severstal Columbus Wins AMM Award for Best Operational Improvement

Madhu Ranade, vice president and general manager, Severstal Columbus, accepted the award on behalf of the company and acknowledged the entire Severstal team and all of its employees who made it possible.
 
The award, which recognizes the accomplishments, innovation and excellence in the metals industry, was given to Severstal Columbus in Best Operational Improvement category. Its innovative scrap purchase and use optimization project resulted in significant savings for the company.
 
Earlier this year Severstal Columbus achieved an important milestone in its performance delivering a record-breaking US$102.50 EBITDA per net ton (US$113 per metric ton) as a result of operational and business improvements.
