Schneider Electric Names NLMK’s Trading Company as Preferred Supplier

Schneider Electric has chosen Novex Trading SA, a trading company within NLMK Group, as a preferred supplier.
Flat products supplied by Novex Trading SA are produced by VIZ-Stal, an NLMK Group company, certified as a supplier of Schneider Electric following an audit in December 2010.
The company supplied 7680 tonnes of grain-oriented steel to Schneider Electric in 2010.
Assessment of 2010 results revealed that the company demonstrated a high level of performance in terms of product quality, logistics, cost saving, technical and process innovations, sustainable development and cooperation, meeting all the requirements set forward by Schneider Electric.
Currently only 250 of Schneider Group’s suppliers have been honored with the “preferred supplier” title.
NLMK, one of the world’s largest steel producers, output 11.5 million tonnes of steel in 2010. The company produces a wide range of steel products, including slabs and billets, hot-rolled flats, plates, cold-rolled, pre-painted and galvanized flats, electrical steel flats and other kinds of high-value-added steel products, as well as diversified long product mix, including rebar, wire rod and metalware. NLMK supplies its products to consumers in more than 70 countries worldwide. The number of employees working at the Group companies located in Russia, Europe and the USA was approximately 59,000 people in 2010.
NLMK acquired 100% of Novex Trading (Switzerland) in 2008 in line with its strategy of setting up an international trading structure to exercise better control over exports and expand its presence in key sales markets.
