According to Sarralle, the system will serve the plant’s four electric arc furnaces, five ladle furnaces and ancillary equipment. 

“The new system will be connected to the existing primary and secondary extraction, increasing the total extraction capacity and obtaining a bigger total flow value for all the installation fumes extraction system,” Sarralle said. 

Sarralle will be responsible for the design and engineering of the new system, fabrication, installation, start-up and commissioning. Commissioning is to take place at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
