Sandvik to Celebrate 150 Year Anniversary at Tube 2012

Sandvik is preparing to celebrate its 150-year anniversary with a prominent display at its stand at the International Tube Association’s (ITA’s) Tube 2012 exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The Sandvik display will highlight the company's extensive capability in the development and production of stainless steel and special alloy products.

The company is planning to exhibit stainless steel tubes in the form of hydraulic and instrumentation tubing through to duplex heat exchanger tubes and high-temperature tubes, precision tubes and the latest umbilical tubing. The company also is planning to demonstrate a new bar converter tool that calculates possible cost savings when switching from solid bar to hollow bar. The tool is also available as an App for iPhone and iPad.

To show the company's versatility in the manufacture of products of a complex nature, Sandvik will also display its HIP products, which are manufactured by powder metallurgy-based hot isostatic pressing (PM HIP). The process enables the production of complete geometrically intricate near-net shape products.

Sandvik Wire Products will also be exhibiting in the adjacent hall 11, stand G31, and Sandvik Heating Technology Products will be exhibiting at stand E32, displaying the Kanthal range, as part of Wire 2012, which runs concurrently with Tube 2012.
