Sandvik Lands Order for Offshore Tube
10/24/2017 - Sweden’s Sandvik has bagged an order for 250 km worth of undersea tubing to connect a development area to an offshore platform.
The order is worth approximately SEK700 million, or about US$85.2 million. Sandvik is not disclosing the buyer’s identity or the project.
"We are proud to have been selected as the umbilical tube supplier for this prestigious contract, which confirms our position as the leading producer of steel tubes for umbilicals," said Michael Andersson, Sandvik Materials Technology’s tubing product area head.
Deliveries are to begin later this year.
