Samuel Winnipeg Announces Aggressive Expansion Plans

The project includes a 25,000-square-foot expansion to the current 88,000-square-foot facility. It is intended specifically to house a Bradbury cut-to-length line capable of producing product from coil up to .500 thick x 96” wide in lengths up to 50 feet. This line will be further enhanced with a new BuTech Bliss stretcher leveler capable of generating stress and memory free product up to 85,000psi yield strength. Increased lifting capacity will also be added to the facility providing the opportunity to process coils weighing up to 80,000 lbs.
 
In addition, Samuel is also upgrading its existing heavy gauge cut-to-length line in Winnipeg by adding a new Precision Leveler® from Herr-Voss Stamco equipped wih tht new Veritas Drive™ technology. Capacity of this line will be up to .250 thick x 72” wide at 75,000psi yield strength and will provide improved shape correction beyond that of traditional roller-leveling. This upgraded line will complement the new stretcher leveler.

The first phase of this project is expected to be complete by August 2014.
