Samuel, Son & Co. Receives 2013 GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award
01/21/2014 - General Motors Co. (GM) recently awarded Samuel, Son & Co. with its distinguished GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award.
Management and key employees of Samuel Automotive Group and Samuel Metal Blanking accepted the award. This distinction is granted to select GM suppliers who met or exceeded stringent quality performance criteria throughout 2013.
"We are honored by this distinction,” said Frank Conciatori, vice president of Samuel Automotive. “Samuel is the first Canadian service center to receive this award and the only service center in North America to win the award in 2013. We are proud of what we have achieved over the years as a specialized product group, in meeting the unique and demanding specifications of the auto industry. It could not have been done without the hard work by many here at Samuel.”
The Samuel Automotive Group operates from the Samuel, Son & Co., Limited location on Nash Road, in Hamilton, Ontario. Samuel Metal Blanking operates its processing facilities in Brantford, Ontario.
Now in its 2nd year, the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award is focused on improving collaboration with suppliers.
Winning suppliers met or exceeded a series of twelve criteria during a twelve month period, including: TS16949 Certification, Zero Plant Disruptions, and other requirements focused on delivering high-quality products on-time. Samuel looks forward to continuing its superior level of excellence and quality for the automotive industry in 2014.
