“The new PCF software solution calculates the carbon dioxide equivalent of the steel product, from raw material extraction through to the customer's factory gate (cradle-to-customer entry gate),” said Tanja Jacobs, head of business development at Salzgitter Mannesmann Handel GmbH.

The company said the entire range of greenhouse gases are included and converted into carbon dioxide  equivalents.
