Salzgitter Appoints New Executive Board Member
11/23/2009 - Salzgitter AG names Johannes Nonn as a new Executive Board member responsible for the Steel Division, beginning January 1, 2010. He replaces Hans Fischer.
The Steel Division of Salzgitter AG has named Johannes Nonn, 44, Dipl.-Wirtschaftsingenieur, as a new Executive Board member.
Hans Fischer, 53, Dipl.-Ing., the current Executive Board member responsible for the Steel Division, has requested the Supervisory Board to discontinue his employment contract as of December 31, 2009, after nine years at Salzgitter AG. Fischer will assume a larger task scope at ThyssenKrupp.
At a meeting held on November 16, the Supervisory Board accepted his request and appointed Nonn as a member of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG for the period from January 1, 2010, until December 31, 2014, with responsibility for the Steel Division.
Nonn has been active for the Group since 2002. He has held the position of Managing Director of Salzgitter Flachstahl and is an Executive Board member within the Salzgitter Stahl management company.
