Salzgitter Appoints New Board Members

Dirk Schulte was appointed the new Industrial Relations Director of the Salzgitter steel companies and Stephan Lemgen will take over as Peiner Träger GmbH's new Managing Director Technology.
With effect from 1 April 2012, Dirk Schulte (47), who holds a degree in economics, has been appointed to the Board as Human Resources Managing Director of Salzgitter Stahl GmbH as well as head of Human Resources and Industrial Relations Director of the three steel companies of Salzgitter Flachstahl, Peiner Träger and Ilsenburger Grobblech. In taking up these positions, Mr. Schulte is succeeding Dipl.-Ökonom Michael Kieckbusch whose appointment to the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG as CO Human Resources / Industrial Relations Director was announced on 24 May 2012. Dirk Schulte has been Industrial Relations Director and head of Human Resources and Finances at SZST Salzgitter Service und Technik GmbH since January 2009.
Stephan Lemgen (45), a graduate engineer, will be appointed as the new Managing Director Technology at Peiner Träger GmbH (PTG), effective August 1, 2012. Mr. Lemgen is currently active as steelworks manager and member of the extended Management Board at Swiss Steel AG.
Dr. jur. Ulrich Schaarschmidt, responsible for Finance and Controlling, is withdrawing from the Board on 15 July 2012, at his own request. Dipl.-Ing. Jürgen Korth's term of office as PTG's Managing Director Technology ends on 31 July 2012. As before, Dr.-Ing. Roger Schlim remains CEO of PTG.
