Saldotecnica Ligure Establishes Americas Unit
10/28/2014 - One of Europe’s manufacturers of equipment for steel mills and metal producers has established a marketing arm for the Americas.
Saldotecnica Ligure, which has earned a global reputation for high-precision steelmaking and metalworking equipment since 1946, announced the creation of Saldotecnica Americas. The new business unit, which will be headed by Saldotecnica Americas CEO Vincent Naccarato, will focus on marketing and technical support of the company’s products to steel mills and related facilities throughout North, Central, and South America.
“Our initial efforts will concentrate on marketing Saldotecnica’s MCE external-mix cutting tips for continuous casters,” said Naccarato. “The tips have allowed European producers to enhance productivity by improving cut quality while using far lower volumes of oxygen and gases. Saldotecnica’s technology also allows for a longer duty cycle, and we believe that steel producers and other companies on this side of the Atlantic will be receptive to the many quality and cost-saving advantages these tips provide.”
Saldotecnica Americas’ offices are located in Schererville, in the heart of Indiana’s Calumet Region. Saldotecnica Ligure is headquartered in Genoa, Italy.
