Saarstahl Subsidiary Invests €13.5 Million in New Wire Pickling Plant
09/02/2014 - The wire plant in St. Ingbert GmbH (DWI), a subsidiary of the Saarstahl AG, has built a new pickling plant for the surface treatment of wire. The investment amounted to €13.5 million.
"The new facility gives us more flexibility and helps us to generate additional business," said CEO Peter Wood. "We want to expand our product range and develop in the direction of higher quality grades."
Within 18 months, the most powerful pickling was created, representing the state of pickling and surface technology, with even higher quality and more homogeneous coatings than previously possible.
