Russian, Chinese Steel Exports to EU Now Under Registration Order
12/15/2015 - The European Commission has imposed a registration order on imports of Chinese and Russian cold rolled flat steel, according to the Reuters news service.
According to Reuters, the order took effect 13 December, which means duties would be assessed from that point forward, if the commission finds that products were being dumped.
The commission opened an anti-dumping investigation into Chinese and Russian imports in May following a complaint from Eurofer, the European steel association, Reuters said.
Eurofer contends that on average cold rolled flats products were being dumped at margins of 28 percent for China and 15-20 percent for Russian producers.
