Russel Metals Announces Executive Promotions
02/19/2008 - Russel Metals announces the promotion of two senior executives to the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Russel Metals Inc. announced the promotion of two senior executives, Brian Hedges and Marion Britton.
Brian Hedges, Russel Metals’ Chief Financial Officer, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Marion Britton, the company's Chief Accounting Officer, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer.
"Brian and Marion have made significant contributions to our success in elevating Russel Metals to its position as one of the premier metals distribution companies in North America,” said Bud Siegel, President and CEO. “Their promotions are an extension of our succession planning, as Brian has assumed an increasing role in our operations and growth strategy, and Marion has assumed greater responsibilities in the financial area.”

Hedges has been with the company 13 years, and Britton has been with the company 23 years.
