Royal Tractor Sold to Wisconsin Manufacturer

The 46-year-old manufacturer was bought by Nordco Inc.,  a Wisconsin company that makes a variety of railway equipment.

“Royal Tractor is a natural fit for Nordco and complements our existing portfolio of highly-engineered products,” said Nordco chief executive Bruce Boczkiewicz in a statement.

“I’m confident this acquisition will provide our customers with not only additional high quality products but expanded top notch service and support.”

Under its Haulmasters line, Royal Tractor makes vehicles that haul slabs, coils, scrap, molten metal, slag and pallets.

Royal Tractor chief executive Jim Hardwick will remain with the company to assist with the integration, Nordco said. It also said Royal Tractor’s operations will move to Nordco’s Grandview, Mo. facility.

Nordco also has manufacturing facilities in Oak Creek, Wis., Beacon Falls, Conn., and Arcola, Ill.
