River Metals Recycling Owensboro Achieves SHARP Workplace Safety Recognition
01/14/2015 - River Metals Recycling (RMR) Owensboro received the prestigious SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) designation from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Owensboro is RMR’s second recycling facility in Kentucky to receive this award.
The Owensboro recycling facility was recognized for their commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. SHARP is the highest honor OSHA awards to small worksites that demonstrate an exemplary commitment to workplace safety and health.
Bob Eviston, RMR President, thanked the Owensboro team for their daily contribution to the company’s success and for operating for six straight years without any work-related injuries or illnesses. Mr. Eviston remarked, “Congratulations to all RMR Owensboro teammates on receiving SHARP certification. It is yet another testament to safety being our #1 core value. Safety is nothing without a genuine, passionate, and ongoing commitment by all of our people. I want to thank the entire RMR team for their continuing safety focus!”
