Republic Steel Selects Quintiq Software to Optimize Manufacturing Operations
02/19/2013 - Quintiq announced that Republic Steel has selected Quintiq’s supply chain planning and optimization software solution to optimize its steel production planning and scheduling.
Quintiq, a global leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O) software, announced that Republic Steel, a leading North American supplier of special bar quality (SBQ) steel bars, has selected Quintiq’s SCP&O software solution to optimize its steel production planning and scheduling. Republic Steel will implement Quintiq’s industry solutions for metals manufacturing, including Quintiq’s company planner for campaign planning, order promising, finite capacity planning, and inventory optimization; and Quintiq’s scheduler solutions for detailed scheduling and sequencing optimization for melt/cast, hot rolling and finishing operations.
